About Isabella DeSantis

Isabella started riding when she was 5, and her passion for horses has persisted and strengthened ever since. She is a USDF Bronze medalist, and has the 4th Level scores towards her Silver Medal, all on self-made horses.
She is also an event rider, which was her first passion until she realized that wow, dressage is addicting!
She has trained quite a few young horses from 0 through Novice/Training eventing and loves the process of starting babies and discovering their calling.

In very close second to riding and training, Isabella is passionate about teaching and enabling others to become effective, resilient and joyful horsepeople. She ran a lesson and boarding program at her farm in Chapel Hill, Pemberley Equestrian, but took a step back from running an entire farm to focus more pointedly on her own riding goals and teaching. She now has lesson horses available at Still Water Farm in Summerfield, NC and travels to surrounding farms to teach clients on their own horses. We travel to schooling and recognized horse trials and dressage shows, so showing is an option but not required.

Isabella graduated from UNC – Chapel Hill with a major in English and minor in Creative Writing. She is formerly a PATH-Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, and taught lessons to children and adults with disabilities at the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center.
